We enjoyed watching the mythical world of Raya and the Last Dragon come alive on our home theater screen. My opinions regarding Raya and the Last Dragon are my own. Although, my 10th grade daughter and I were invited to view the film, this movie review is unbiased and I am under no obligation to publish a favorable movie review for Disney. My intent is to help you make the best decision for your family, and whoever would most appreciate this animated motion picture.
According to Stella Review:
When we first watched the movie trailer, we were intrigued with the story but more interested in the fantasy colors and Asian-inspired landscapes. It a picturesque scenery that could decorate any wall of mine. The protagonist Raya and her journey to save the world is pretty predictable, the movie was still entertaining to watch. The cast of voice actors complimented their roles, which added to the immersive viewing experience. Ultimately, we had a good time rolling with the adventure and jokes.
According to Stella Rating: Family Viewing Disclaimer (1/low – 5/high scale)
Raya and the Last Dragon is rated PG. There are scenes that include: a toddler bare buttocks, people fighting with sharp swords and sticks, people being attacked by swirling monsters that turn them to stone, discussions of the world being broken and how to remedy the problem, people planning attacks to steal gems, dragons swirling through the air casting spells, and some name-calling. Therefore, I give Raya and the Last Dragon the following rating:
- 1 – SEX/NUDITY
- 3 – VIOLENCE/GORE
- 1 – PROFANITY
