Step into the fantastical world of 10-year old Flora. She has quite the story to share with you! FLORA & ULYSSES is streaming exclusively on Disney+ starting February 19th.
Disney’s FLORA & ULYSSES is an adorable comedy-adventure based on the Newbery Award-winning book about Flora, an avid comic book fan and a self-avowed cynic. Her parents have recently separated and we see how she manages life in the aftermath.
FLORA & ULYSSES feels like we stepped into a life written by a 10-year old comic book fan. My family enjoyed taking a break from our daily lives, and were highly entertained by Flora’s daily discoveries with her friend, Ulysses and her adorable neighbor, William.
Flora rescues a squirrel, who she names Ulysses, and soon discovers that he possesses unique superhero powers! Together they embark on an adventure of humorous complications that ultimately change Flora’s life–and her outlook–forever. FLORA & ULYSSES stars a talented cast with great comedic timing and slapstick performance: Matilda Lawler, Alyson Hannigan (TV’s BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, and HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER), Ben Schwartz (TV’s PARKS AND RECREATION, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG), Anna Deavere Smith (TV’s BLACK-ISH, NURSE JACKIE), Danny Pudi (TV’s COMMUNITY, DUCKTALES), Benjamin Evans Ainsworth, Janeane Garofolo (MYSTERY MEN, RATATOUILLE) and Kate McCucci (TV’s STEVEN UNIVERSE, DUCKTALES). It was directed by Lena Khan and produced by Gil Netter. Based on the novel “Flora & Ulysses: The Illuminated Adventures” by Kate DiCamillo, the film’s screenplay is by Brad Copeland. Katterli Frauenfelder and James Powers served as executive producers.
