Noricimo’s Adventure Journal: Intro

February 3, 2020 by Stella

The following is a creative writing series, that follows Dwarven Paladin, “Noricimo”, throughout his adventures in the land of Toril along the Swordcoast in the Forgotten Realms within the online MMORPG game “Neverwinter”: https://www.arcgames.com/en/games/neverwinter

I have always found the word “home” to be a challenging concept.  My first home was with the dwarven communities in the Northern Reaches.  A chilly place, but a number of good traditional dwarven communities as my parents would say.  When I was still young, my family moved, and my home became the area of Luruar. A warmer area, everyone there called it the Silver Marches, my parents, however, stuck to the name printed, in dwarven, on their map.  Not sure my parents are even now accepting with how Luruar influenced my young mind, but I had a lot of good times. My “home” changed yet again when I left Luraur and made my way to Protector’s Enclave. A pretty nice place, if you don’t mind having to deal with epic, the world is going to end, problems every day.

Now when I first arrived at Protector’s Enclave, I hoped to find friends and a place to call home… again.  In the guild Order of Knights Radiant I found both, and I have relished my many adventures with my allies. However, some of my more interesting journeys, for worse or better, were by joining in battles to save the Sword Coast with complete strangers.  In this journal I have started to document these adventures. My aim is to create a guide to help avoid pitfalls that have befallen I and others, and perhaps provide some entertainment in the process. One day I hope to tell my family back home these stories, but for now I will share them with you, my friends, here.
