So, what do you think? Feel free to comment below. This movie looks pretty amazing to me! I am a huge fan of the previous animated 1994 movie, and am curious to see this version.

Disney’s new ALADDIN is directed by Guy Ritchie and stars Will Smith, Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott! ALADDIN flies into theaters nationwide May 24, 2019!Guy Ritchie should have no problem bringing his singular flair for fast-paced and visceral action to the live-action adaptation of Disney’s animated classic, ALADDIN. Some of my favorite action-packed Guy Ritchie movies include THE MAN FROM UNCLE (2015), SHERLOCK HOLMES (2009), and LOCK, STOCK, AND TWO SMOKING BARRELS (1998).

Primarily taking place in the fictitious port city of Agrabah, ALADDIN is the thrilling and vibrant tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future.

Mena Massoud/Aladdin and (previously Pink Power Ranger/2017) Naomi Scott/Jasmine already look like they have great on-screen chemistry. I can’t wait to watch their character/relationship bloom in these roles.

I have been a fan of Will Smith, as an actor/entertainer since “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” (1990), and can’t wait to see him carry ‘the Genie’ torch after Robin William’s monumental performance (1994).

Also, side-kick Iago the parrot is played by one of my favorite character actors, Alan Tudyk. He will totally bring the right amount of snark and wit to the colorful bird.

ALADDIN is produced by Dan Lin, p.g.a., and Jonathan Eirich, p.g.a., with Kevin De La Noy and Marc Platt serving as executive producers. Eight-time Academy Award®-winning composer Alan Menken provides the score, which includes new recordings of the original songs written by Menken and Oscar®-winning lyricists Howard Ashman and Tim Rice and includes two new songs written by Menken and lyrics by Oscar and Tony Award®-winning songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
