Tim Burton’s Live-Action Dumbo Trailer #Dumbo

November 15, 2018 by Stella

Have you seen this yet?? I cannot believe the list of cast members! Check out the new trailer and poster for Tim Burton’s all-new live-action DUMBO that opens in theaters everywhere March 29th, 2019!

Hauntingly talented director Tim Burton created his version of the long-eared elephant and his difficult journey of self-discovery. I don’t know if I’ll be able to watch this potentially majorly heartbreaking movie…

I adore the original 1941 classic Disney animated DUMBO, watched the movie several times over the years, memorized the soundtrack and loved introducing it to my daughter when she was little. I even sang the ‘Baby Mine’ lullaby song to my baby.

Those Disney songs are perfectly matched with the captivating story that is as heartfelt as it is heartbreaking. What are your fond DUMBO memories?

What do you think of this adorably remastered Dumbo??!! Previously, Disney did an amazingly impressive job transferring THE JUNGLE BOOK (2016) from animation to live-action. I was very skeptical when that movie came out, but ended up loving the newer adaptation for different reasons. Now in this all-new Disney grand live-action adventure, DUMBO expands on the beloved and classic story where differences are celebrated, family is cherished and dreams take flight.

Hopeless circus owner Max Medici enlists former star Holt Farrier and his children Milly and Joe to care for a newborn elephant. This unusual elephant, ‘Dumbo’ has been blessed with over-sized ears that make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus.

Vandevere, the opportunistic business man, recruits the peculiar pachyderm for his newest, larger-than-life entertainment venture, ‘Dreamland’. Dumbo soars to new heights alongside a charming and spectacular aerial artist, Colette Marchant, until Holt learns that beneath its shiny veneer, Dreamland is full of dark secrets.

Cast List includes:

  • Circus owner, Max Medici – Danny DeVito
(THE WAR OF THE ROSES/1989, “Taxi”/1978)
  • Former star, Holt Farrier – Colin Farrell
(FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM/2106, IN BRUGES/2008)
  • V.A. Vandevere – Michael Keaton
    (SPOTLIGHT/2015, PACIFIC HEIGHTS/1990, BATMAN/1989, BEETLEJUICE/1988)
I could keep adding my favorite movies to this list! Michael Keaton’s roles are always memorable!
  • Aerial artist, Colette Marchant – Eva Green
(MISS PEREGRINE’S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN/2016, “Penny Dreadful”/2014)
Eva Green is one of my current top favs! I will watch anything she creates.
