Charlize Theron’s Thoughts on Parenting #Tully

The annual Hallmark holiday ‘Mother’s Day’ is around the corner. As a kid, I followed that yearly tradition and produced something for my mother at that time. Since becoming a mom, my view on the meaning of that ‘tribute’ changed. Therefore, my husband and daughter may give me an acknowledging nod and card during these societal occasions, but honestly, we strive to appreciate each other daily. Now, one of my favorite versatile actresses Charlize Theron has a new movie, featuring a real life mom in daily life. Check out this new video with Charlize Theron sharing her real life Tully and her personal thoughts on parenting:

Tully is a rare and raw view of life as a Mom: the highs and the lows, from the creators of the slice-of-life “Juno”.

Our personal needs change throughout life, but I had no idea how daunting Motherhood would be. None of us should have to ‘do it’ alone. I firmly believe that every mom needs a Tully-type of sanity person. We are not all blessed with supportive family members who love us unconditionally, without any strings attached. Many times we create ‘family bonds’ with friends and thus form our own ‘supportive family’. Who is/has been the “Tully” in your life? Have you been able to pay it forward, and be anyone’s “Tully”?

Story:  Tully is a new comedy from Academy Award®-nominated director Jason Reitman (“Up in the Air”) and Academy Award®-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody (“Juno”). Marlo (Academy Award® winner Charlize Theron), a mother of three including a newborn, is gifted a night nanny by her brother (Mark Duplass). Hesitant to the extravagance at first, Marlo comes to form a unique bond with the thoughtful, surprising, and sometimes challenging young nanny named Tully (Mackenzie Davis).
