Ohmygosh ohmygosh ohmygosh, I am beyond excited about this movie! First of all, I am a HUGE Mary Poppins (1964) fan and know the entire movie by heart. Then, any initial remake-skepticism I had was immediately extinguished when I saw the cast line up, and pics. Lin Manuel-Miranda as the new sidekick, and Emily Blunt as Mary???? Need I say more?? - Lin-Manuel Miranda as Mary Poppin’s friend Jack, an optimistic street lamplighter who helps bring light—and life—to the streets of London

- Emily Mortimer as Jane Banks
- Julie Walters as the Banks’ housekeeper Ellen
- Colin Firth as Fidelity Fiduciary Bank’s William Weatherall Wilkins
- Meryl Streep as Mary’s eccentric cousin, Topsy

The film also introduces three new Banks’ children played by Pixie Davies, Nathanael Saleh and newcomer Joel Dawson. Angela Lansbury appears as the Balloon Lady, a treasured character from the PL Travers books and Dick Van Dyke is Mr. Dawes Jr., the retired chairman of the bank now run by Firth’s character.
