Mark your calendar for one of my favorite movies of 2017: Cars 3. Grab the kids, friends, grandparents, aunts and uncles for this inspiring story-line with life lessons that appeal across generations. Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary #95 race car, Lightning McQueen is shocked to find himself suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves.
To get back in the game, he will need the help of eager young race technician, Cruz Ramirez, plus inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet and a few unexpected turns.
OFF TO THE RACES — Disney•Pixar’s “Cars 3” is teaming up with NASCAR this year as crowd favorite Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) prepares to return to the big screen June 16, 2017, alongside elite trainer Cruz Ramirez (voice of Cristela Alonzo). Several months ago, I was selected for a special preview screening of Cars 3 at Pixar Animation Studios. Article: “Press Trip to San Francisco with Disney, Pixar and ABC March 27-29”. At that time, the movie was still in production, so were only able to view about 70% of the entire feature film. Some of the scenes were even in pure sketch form! Our entire audience was instantly pulled into the World of Cars, and was lost within the captivating universal story of different stages in life, and finding our purpose.
