KID REVIEW:
My 12-year old daughter was initially reluctant to try this series, especially since Sofia the First felt too young for her. Guess what?! We love Elena:
- Great animal characters
- the jaquins and the spirit animal are new and interesting mythological concepts
- Fun song in each episode
- Elena and her younger sister, Isabel, are supportive and respectful to each other
- The problem-solving that Elena works through, makes sense
And here are your clips to enjoy:
SISTER TIME
CHAROCA
Disney’s newest princess Elena of Avalor: Ready to Rule is available for you on DVD just in time for the Holidays! Join Elena as she learns how to be a princess who will one day become a queen and rule her kingdom. When the story begins, Elena has just saved her kingdom from an evil sorceress who was trying to destroy Avalor. Now, Elena’s journey leads her to understand that her new role requires thoughtfulness, resilience and compassion, the traits of all truly great leaders. These are all wonderful traits that I get to discuss with my daughter, and brain-storm through the problems with Elena.
