Did you grow up watching Little House on the Prairie on TV, each week like I did? I can still remember the theme song and enjoying the real-life experience of Laura Ingalls (Wilder) growing up amid the hardships of the Midwest during the late 19th century with and her family. My family would laugh or cry along with each episode as Laura or someone would get in trouble but by the hour’s end, usually the problem would be resolved in what felt ‘real’ to me. I treasured watching Laura go through school, grow up and eventually marry ‘Manly’ (Albert).
Now, we all get to experience newly restored and remastered uncut episodes of Little House On The Prairie like we have never seen them before! I cannot wait to share this heartfelt series with my daughter when it arrives on DVD (plus Digital) and Digital HD on September 13 from Lionsgate.
